Las roscas macho y hembra se aprietan progresivamente durante el montaje y normalmente se utiliza sellador compatible o cinta PTFE para cerrar la trayectoria helicoidal de fuga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Que queden visibles algunas vueltas de rosca despu\u00e9s del montaje no significa necesariamente que la conexi\u00f3n est\u00e9 floja. El acoplamiento correcto depende del tama\u00f1o, las tolerancias y los requisitos de instalaci\u00f3n. El sellado no suele lograrse acu\u00f1ando las roscas macho y hembra, sino en la cara de apoyo mediante una arandela, una junta metal-elast\u00f3mero o un O-ring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si el elemento de sellado falta, est\u00e1 da\u00f1ado o no es compatible con el fluido y la temperatura del proceso, la conexi\u00f3n puede presentar fugas aunque se a\u00f1ada m\u00e1s cinta PTFE.
