RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) Series
RTD temperature sensors utilize the resistance of the pure metal wire to measure temperature, where the resistance increases at a fixed ratio with temperature. Platinum is the most commonly used material for RTD elements. It consists of a pure platinum wire wound around a slender mica sheet, which is then covered with a protective mica sheet and enclosed by a thin stainless steel or other material strip.
