2. Challenge
With the rise of Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing, more and more companies are adopting analog output transmitters to improve data integration, remote monitoring, and centralized system management.
After the mechanical pointer thermometer on Walsin Lihwa’s equipment became damaged due to aging, the company proposed a similar requirement — maintaining the ability for direct on-site visual observation while also enabling remote monitoring and data collection capabilities. However, due to limited piping space, it was not possible to add additional installation ports. As a result, SJ Gauge was required to integrate both the mechanical pointer display and analog output transmission functions into a single instrument, creating a customized solution that combines local indication with remote signal output.

3. Customer demand
The DTHIT is a pointer-type temperature transmitter that combines local indication and signal transmission functions into a single instrument. It integrates the on-site reading capability of the MTB.S bimetal thermometer while incorporating an internal PT100Ω RTD sensor connected to a 4–20mA temperature transmitter output.
This dual-function thermometer not only helps save installation space, but also allows users to cross-check on-site pointer readings with remote monitoring data, further improving measurement reliability and accuracy. It is especially suitable for industrial applications requiring both local indication and remote signal integration.
