SGS is the world’s largest integrated testing, inspection, verification, and certification company, specializing in calibration and testing services covering equipment, environmental systems, and industrial applications. Its professional capabilities and service quality are internationally recognized.
Founded in Switzerland in 1878, SGS established SGS Taiwan Ltd. (formerly Société Générale de Surveillance Far East Ltd.) in Taiwan in 1952. Today, SGS operates five major companies and more than 20 laboratories throughout Taiwan, providing comprehensive and professional testing, inspection, and certification services.

3-1. High Precision Requirements
Pressure gauges used in laboratory testing equipment require extremely high measurement accuracy. SJ Gauge’s MXP high-precision digital pressure gauge offers accuracy up to ±0.025%, fully meeting SGS laboratory standards for precision testing applications.
In addition, the digital display allows operators to obtain clearer and more accurate readings, helping reduce human reading errors while improving overall measurement reliability and stability.

3-2. High Temperature Resistance (Up to 100°C)
SGS laboratories handle a wide range of testing applications, meaning the pressure instruments must withstand various environmental and operational conditions. In this particular project, the laboratory equipment operated under high-temperature conditions.
To address this challenge, SJ Gauge selected the PRA-C cooling element and installed it beneath the MXB LCD digital pressure gauge. This design allows the pressure medium to cool before reaching the instrument, preventing excessive heat from damaging the internal components and extending the service life of the pressure gauge.

3-3. Tight Delivery Schedule
In general, specially customized instruments often require extended production and delivery times. However, due to the tight project schedule of the SGS laboratory, any delay could have affected subsequent testing operations and increased overall project costs.
Understanding the urgency of the situation, SJ Gauge closely monitored every stage of the process — from production and assembly to shipment — and successfully delivered the products to SGS within only two weeks, helping ensure the project proceeded smoothly and on schedule.

After implementing SJ Gauge’s solution, SGS successfully resolved both specification limitations and delivery challenges, allowing the laboratory testing operations to be completed on schedule.
